Sports
The island’s sports places are municipal or school yards, plus one private gym and a club shooting range. Most of the outdoor ones are free.
Replot
The school yard at Kyrkvägen 84 has a match-size outdoor hockey rink, about 60 by 30 metres. Mustasaari lists general skating on weekdays from 16.00 to 19.00, and all day on weekends. The same yard has a school skating rink, used by the school on school days and open for public skating in the evenings and on weekends when the ice is in. There is a gravel ball field, about 60 by 40 metres, and a gravel panna-football court.
The school gym is at Kyrkvägen 94. Mustasaari lists a wood floor and a court about 20 by 10 metres, booked through the municipality. The grass field at Vallgrundintie 50 has high jump, long jump, a shot-put circle, and a sprint track, and it is also the lot for the lit ski track. The outdoor gym at Vallgrundvägen 50 is free. Beach volleyball is at Raippaluoto beach, Kyläsatamantie 200.
Amazing Family Gym, Vallgrundvägen 78, is a private gym. Members can train around the clock, and customer service is on Thursdays from 16.00 to 18.00. Membership is listed from 38 euros. Phone +358 50 521 8736.
Norra Vallgrund
Vallgrund school has a gravel ball field and an outdoor hockey rink at Söderuddsvägen 9. The rink is about 60 by 30 metres. School use is on weekdays, and evenings and weekends are for free skating and pickup hockey. The school gym is the smaller hall at Söderuddsvägen 2, booked through the municipality. Beach volleyball is at Sommarösund beach.
Björköby
The outdoor gym at Björköntie 735 is free. A smaller hockey rink, about 40 by 20 metres, is on Kråkbosletvägen. A local association puts the ice in, and it is not on the main-rink skating schedule. The grass field at Sundesvägen 13 has high jump, long jump, a sprint track, a shot-put circle, and a beach-volleyball court.
Folkhälsan i Björköby keeps an indoor gym at Björkövägen 768. The association says it is open year-round, and access is through a membership. Phone +358 50 464 8260.
A club shooting range
Skärgårdens skjutbana is an outdoor range at Vallgrundvägen 305, looked after by hunting clubs in Replot. It is not a public field. Phone +358 50 918 0220.
