Hiking trails
There are 10 official hiking trails on Raippaluoto. The ones people actually choose between are below: two in the south, two famous ones in the archipelago, a long trail with ferries, and three quieter walks in the north.
Southern Raippaluoto
In Södra Vallgrund, Sommarön luontopolku is a short 1.5 km accessible loop, very wide, ending at Sommarö laavu. The other trail from the same place is about 5 km and goes all the way to Sommarösund beach and the rentable sauna, past old military bunkers and lakes in an old forest. Sommarön vartiotupa, a rental hut for up to 22 people with a sauna, is on both.
The archipelago
Drive toward Björköby. Bodvattnet runt is a 4 km loop. The accessible trail is the same start and stops at about 1 km. The loop goes to Saltkaret, Märraryggen, and Bodvattnet hut. Free firewood, toilets, berries in late summer, and other people if you come in summer.
Quieter walks in the north
Vikarskat to Hamnbastun is about 1.5 km to Finnhamnen, the free overnight cabin. Vargis is a 2.5 km loop that also meets the end of the Panike trail, with two fire spots and a kayak rental. Kikanberget is a 15-minute path by Klobbskat harbor.
